Types of CCTV Cameras

There are several different camera types for your CCTV installation, each with a range of features that make them suited to specific types of installation.

Dome CCTV Cameras – A Dome CCTV camera is, as the name suggests, encased in a dome shaped cover. This cover serves a dual purpose. Bullet CCTV Cameras – These are one of the most common styles of CCTV camera installations and can be used inside or outside. C Mount CCTV Cameras – These are large cameras which have an adaptable field of vision due to their detachable lenses. They can cover distances of over 40ft compared to a standard view of 35ft for most camera types.

Pan, Tilt & Zoom Cameras – These CCTV cameras allow you to actively control your camera via a remote control. They can cover a full 360 degrees and are endlessly adjustable.

Additional CCTV Options

Beyond selecting the style of camera for your CCTV installation, there are also additional options to consider. You may benefit from Day/Night cameras that work in any lighting conditions, from bright sunlight to the darkest part of the night. If you require a CCTV installation in a fully dark environment, then infrared or night vision may be advisable.
